MY OLDEST BROTHER CLIFTON GOT MARRIED!!

9/28/2013 marks the day my brother got married. Not many people knew I had a brother because he was my mothers son from another man. My twin and I are the only legitimate children from my parents. Of course in my family we don't consider each other half sisters and brothers. We come from the same blood and that's all that matters.

The story behind meeting my long lost brother is actually a very interesting one. My mom had named my nephew after him and we asked who Clifton was. She told us the story of the sweet innocent child she had to leave behind in American Samoa. The long story of why is another issue. Rather keep it disclosed cause it's really not important. lol Anyway, my sister and I was so excited to know that we had a brother some where out there and set out on a mission to find him. We were in High School at the time and back in the 90's internet had just came out. You remember the dial up kind where you had to have AOL. lmao We started hitting up all the Samoan boards, chat rooms etc. to see if anyone knew someone named Clifton Moa. We finally got a response with a phone number and location. We called him immediately and my mom was overwhelmed with joy to finally hear her sons voice. He was of course a young man at this point. We got his address and wrote him as often as we could. After a while we lost touch just for a lil' bit with my mom and dads divorce happening. We were all kind of in a depressed mood. Sooner or later my mom ended up bringing my brother out to the states. He lived with her for a while and eventually moved out on his own to Seattle, Washington. That is where he met his wife. It's funny how things happen isn't it? I'm sure my brother had no idea he'd come to the states and have a family. I believe there is always a reason for everything. God's plan is wonderful. Really blessed beyond measures to have him as my brother and is so proud of him. We had such a blast at his wedding. Got to meet a lot of family I never met and met his family that raised him. Blessed am I for them as well because w/o them my brother would not have grown up to be the giving, humble person he is today.

While out in Seattle we stayed with one of my best friends Tiffany Sautia Decelle. She has 2 beautiful babies (boy and girl) and such a nice husband. So grateful to grow up w/ her. We were gonna stay in a hotel but I'm glad we stayed w/ her. It felt so good to see her. We definitely will be going out to Seattle soon!

While we were out in Seattle we left our children w/ their grandma. How amazing it is to have my kids be able to grow up w/ their cousins even though we live 782 miles away. Thanks to JetBlue we can have them visit their many cousins out in California. With how big and close my family is we shall be seeing them all frequently. So thankful for my inlaws. Don't think they know how much I really appreciate them.
